Retail Pro Accounting Link Error with Sage BusinessWorks 2017

Description

Beginning with Sage BusinessWorks Version 2017 customers must now have a current and active Sage Business Care plan in order to use the BWAccess integration. This means that in order to link BusinessWorks 2017 (and above) with the Retail Pro Accounting Link the customer must:

1. Have a current and active Sage 'Business Care Plan'.
2. Have the System Module of the BusinessWorks installation registered with a valid registration code.

If the customer has not done this, they will likely see that their Accounting Link 4.0 cannot connect to BusinessWorks 2017.

Symptoms

Store Account Manager does not display the accounting package's accounts when an Account ID is clicked [fig.1]

There is a file in the Acctlink_1 folder named POST.ERR containing 46/0 errors. [fig2]

Solution

1. Customer obtains current and active Sage 'Business Care Plan'.

2. Register the System Module of the BusinessWorks installation with a valid registration code.
