Cayan staging server is unavailable or failed to respond
The following error occurs while attempting to authorize credit cards through Cayan. This typically occurs after a Retail Pro 8 installation is upgraded to version 8.70 at a remote.
This is caused by the assignment of an alphabetic character as part of the terminal ID in the Cayan Plugin configuration panel.
Revise the following setting in Retail Pro 8:
1. Options > W/S Preferences > EFT > Merchantware > configuration panel.
2. Change the terminal ID field to an appropriate value for the workstation.
For example, If your workstation is located at store 001 station A and is workstation number 3 set the terminal ID to be 00103 (rather than 001A03).
