24.2 Transfer Order Preferences
Node Preferences > Transfers > General
| Preference | Description |

| Require Transfer Slips to reference Transfer Order | If selected, users are prevented from creating a slip unless a TO# is entered on the new slip. |
| Use ALU in Transfer Order Allocation Grid | Enables merchants who use ALUs (Alternate Lookups) to display the ALU field — instead of UPC — in the first column of the Transfer Order Allocation grid, making items easier to identify and prepare for transfer. By default, this preference is disabled and UPC displays in that column, as it always has. Previously, the first column was hardcoded to UPC with no way to change it, which made it harder to identify TO items for merchants who rely on ALUs. |
Node Preferences > System > Reasons and Notes
Reasons are short text to explain why a document was created.
In this area of preferences, select TO in the Type dropdown and add/edit reasons as needed.

You can customize the grids displayed when working with transfer orders by configuring Grid Format preferences.
