Item Items - Item Details

On the Item Details tab, you can:

  • Edit doc quantity and price level
  • View (but not edit) Units/Case, Inventory Type, Order Item Type, Store O/H Qty and Price
  • If the item is a kit, break the kit into its components

To change the Price Level or Doc Qty:

  1. Display the Item Details dialog and then touch or click the Discounts tab.    
  2. Select a different Price Level from the drop-down.    
  3. Change the item's Doc Qty as needed.    
  4. Select the OK (or Apply) button.  

Refer to the following table for information about the fields displayed on the Item Details tab:

Name Description
Doc Quantity The quantity of the item on the current transaction.
Doc Case Quantity For items that have a defined Units/Case value in Inventory, the Doc Case Qty is the number of cases for the item on this document. For these case-quantity items, editing Doc Qty updates the Doc Case Qty. Likewise, editing the Doc Case Qty updates the Doc Qty.
Units/Case (read-only) For case-quantity items, the number of units per case.
Inventory Type (read-only)
The type of item:
0 = No entry (regular item)
1 = Kit Item
2 = Package Item
3 = Gift Card Stored Value
4 = Gift Card Prepaid
5 = Gift Certificate
6 = Central Gift Card
Order Item Type (read-only) Type of order (e.g. Customer, Special, Layaway). In the initial release of RP Prism, all orders are "Customer."
Loyalty fields If Customer Loyalty is enabled, the Item Details tab will include the following loyalty-related fields: Loyalty Earned, Loyalty Redemption, Loyalty Gift, Loyalty Program. If loyalty is not enabled, these fields are not included in the UI.
Store OH Qty (read-only) The current on-hand quantity at the store.
Fulfillment Location  (read-only; used with Send Sale Transactions) Displays the fulfillment location for a send sale order. The Fulfillment Location is selected when the Associate changes an item's type to "Send Sale".
Inventory Price (read-only) The inventory price of the item.
Inventory Cost (read-only) The inventory cost of the item.
Price Levels The price level assigned to the item. By default, item's are assigned the same level as the transaction, which is the price level assigned to the Store where the transaction is being created.
Serial No Item serial number.
Lot No Item lot number.

Break a Kit

Breaking a kit returns the individual component items to inventory. When you break a kit in RP Prism, the individual component items desired by the customer can then be sold.
