Prism Administration Console Guide
Node Preferences > Transactions > Tenders > EFT
The options in Node Preferences > Transactions > Tenders > EFT are for retailers who are NOT using one of the EFT gateways that Prism supports (Genius, Adyen, Nayax).
The options in this area include:
| Preference | Description |
|---|---|
| Accepted Cards |
Select the check box for each credit card type that will be used at POS and available in the "Card Type" drop-down. UDF1 - UDF7 are for defining user-defined card types, such as those specific to your local region. |
| Allow EFT receipt to print when EFT is not being used | Typically, when no EFT processor is being used, no EFT receipt is printed; however, if this option is selected, when an associate clicks Print/Update, an EFT receipt will be printed for check and/or debit card transactions. |
| EFT Requires Signature Capture | If selected, an electronic signature must be captured to update the transaction. In the Signature Capture Floor Limit field, enter a floor limit for the signature capture. Amounts above the floor limit require a signature capture. Amounts below the floor limit do not require a signature capture. |
| Signature Capture floor limit | Enter the floor limit for requiring signature capture. If the transaction Total is less than the amount entered here, no signature capture will be required. |

Credit Card Names and Processor Card Names
In Node Preferences - Transactions - EFT, you can select the credit cards that your business accepts at POS. If the checkbox for a card is selected, then the card type will be available for selection at POS. There are a set of default card names defined in Prism, as well as several user-defined fields where can define new card names or cards that are less-well-known but still used by your business. The card name is written to the Card Type field on the Prism transaction.
