Node Preferences - Merchandise - Inventory - UDF Fields

User-defined fields enable retailers to capture inventory information that is not available in the many predefined inventory fields that come with Prism. With UDFs, you define a field label and a list of field values that will be available for selection. Prism provides the following user-defined fields for inventory records:

  • Date UDF 1 - Date UDF 2
  • Text UDF 1 - Text UDF 15
  • Number UDF 1 - Number UDF 3
  • Long Text UDF 1 - Long Text UDF 2

Note: Inventory records have Item UDFs and Style UDFs. The Inventory UDFs defined in preferences apply to both Item and Style UDFs.

Maximum Length of UDF values
50 characters.

Maximum Number of UDF Values per UDF
Users can define as many UDF values per UDF as needed; however, during replication of UDFs, the server checks how many UDF values belongs to each UDF. If more than 500, the UDF values are not replicated at all. This applies to UDF values assigned to customer/inventory/vendor/employee.

Inventory UDF Preferences

In the text box for the UDF, type a label and press . A green toast indicates the label was saved successfully.
The UDF field label you typed is now available in the dropdown on the right in the UDFs Options area.
Click the Plus sign icon. A new blank field entry is added. Type the Field Entry text. Select the Active checkbox. Click the Check Mark icon.
Repeat the process to add more field entries as needed.
