Backup and Restoration of Krunch Reports

Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions for backing up and restoring custom Krunch reports. Follow this process only if instructed by the Retail Pro technical support team.

Note: MongoDB is no longer part of Krunch as of version 12 and newer.

Scenario

When reinstalling Krunch, you may need to back up and restore custom reports to ensure they remain available in the new installation. There are two options for this process:

  • Restore a Cold Backup of MongoDB (for versions prior to Krunch 12).
  • Import Custom Reports into the new installation.

Procedure

Taking a Backup of Reports

  1. Log in to Krunch as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to the Maintenance Tab:
    • This can be found on the left side of the screen.
    • Select the reports you want to back up.

Export Reports:

  • At the top of the screen, click on Export.
  • A .KRR file will be created, containing the selected reports.

Restoring a Backup of Reports

  1. Log in to Krunch as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to the Maintenance Tab:
    • Click on the Import icon.
    • Browse for your .KRR file and select it.
    • Click OK to complete the import.

 

Verify Reports:

  • Log in as a standard user to confirm that the restored reports are accessible and functional.
