How to Configure Prism 2.4 with Central Using the Prism Custom User

Scenario:
If a store is licensed for one seat and a customer attempts to authenticate centrals using a sysadmin or any other user, the seat will be consumed. However, if the central is authenticated with the 'prism_custom' user, the store's seat will not be consumed. In this case, there will be no issues consuming the user seat, and the centrals will not go offline.

 

POA:

By default, the Admin Group has no permissions. Edit and assign all necessary permissions.

1. Configure the Prism_Custom user to assign the Admin Group, allowing all permissions.

2. Assign the "Home Store" to the user.

3. Assign the Admin Group.

4. Assign the Store Assignment.

5. Save the changes.

 

Next, configure Central in Admin Console:

1. Go to Installation Defaults.

2. Select "Central Address" and test with the Prism_Custom user.

Prism_custom password is cust0m@2024!

 

Then, configure Centrals under:

- Node Preferences > Transactions > Centrals.

 

Store Configuration:

Please confirm the following:

1. The Prism_Custom user is configured to assign the Admin Group, allowing all permissions.

2. The "Home Store" has been assigned.

3. The Admin Group is assigned.

4. The Store Assignment is in place.

5. Changes have been saved.

 

Note: If the password for the Prism_Custom user changes, you will need to update the central authentication with the new password; otherwise, the centrals will not come online.
