How to Change Loguser Password in Retail Pro Prism 1.14.7 and Above

Scenario: For security reasons, a client may want to change the loguser password that has access to the Retail Pro Prism logs in Prism Web Techtoolkit. This ensures that only authorized users can check the logs.

Instructions:

  1. Open a command prompt
  2. Change the directory to the Apache bin folder by entering the following command:
    Command Prompt code. Email retail pro marketing if picture isn't displaying properly and you need this info.

 

  1. Execute following command: 

     htpasswd.exe C:\ProgramData\RetailPro\Server\WebClient\etc\.htpasswd loguser

    Command Prompt  code. If image isn't appearing email Retail Pro marketing

  2. You will be prompted to enter a new password and re-enter it for verification: 
    Command Prompt  code. If image isn't appearing email Retail Pro marketing
     
  3. Users can perform the above steps at each Prism server installation to change the loguser password. Alternatively, copy the file .htpasswd located in C:\ProgramData\RetailPro\Server\WebClient\etc folder to other Prism installations and replace the default one.etc browser/windows folder | url: C:\ProgramData\RetailPro\Server\WebClient\etc | file inside: .htpasswd
