5 Steps to Manually Uninstall Retail Pro Prism

There may at times be need to remove Retail Pro Prism and all associated data from your computer, as in the event of a system crash.
It is important to ensure Retail Pro is completely removed from your system before attempting to reinstall.
Once all traces of Retail Pro have been deleted, you can then use a current backup to reinstall with data intact, without needing to initialize data into Retail Pro Prism again.
The 5 steps below detail the process for complete removal of Retail Pro Prism.

1. Preparation

  • Make a full Database backup
  • Make a full Windows Registry backup
  • Make sure all services are stopped
  • Turn off ECM/RIL
  • Pause scheduled maintenance or reporting tasks
  • Back everyone out of the system
  • Back up any customized Apache configuration files
  • Back up the \Programdata\retailpro\server\WebClient folder

2. Clean the Registry
Delete RP Prism keys if present

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismV9Service
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismSchedulingService
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismResiliencyService
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismPOSV1Service
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismMQService
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismLicSvr
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismCommonService
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\PrismBackOfficeService
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Retail Pro\Prism (and all of it's sub keys)

Delete program entries if present

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{01E35724-825B-4C5A-A92F-D0F739770C22}_is1
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{2BEF6F5F-E820-418D-B421-DF7D00761E33}_is1
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{3DCEFE2B-63B9-4E1F-97D3-003DBC1B4787}_is1
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{7C7520D1-A18D-45C8-AF08-2A2F24FB77B9}_is1
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{80849310-75CF-493D-8032-8ACB4DCA53BA}_is1
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{D6DC4E64-7057-4C6E-A242-C161A54179F0}_is1

Delete Erlang and RabbitMQ entries if present

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Ericsson
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
    Erlang OTP 20 (9.3)
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\RabbitMQ

3. Clean the File System

Delete the following folders if present

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\RabbitMQ Server
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\erl9.3
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\RetailPro
  • C:\ProgramData\RetailPro

4. Remove Services

Remove services if present. Run these commands from the command line as an Administrator.

  • sc delete Apache
  • sc delete PrismBackOfficeService
  • sc delete PrismCommonService
  • sc delete PrismLicSvr
  • sc delete PrismPOSV1Service
  • sc delete PrismMQService
  • sc delete PrismResiliencyService
  • sc delete PrismSchedulingService
  • sc delete PrismV9Service

5. Restart the System
