Retail Pro Prism and Windows Updates
There is an issue that has been identified where Windows updates cause RabbitMQ service to not start services.
Upon troubleshooting and investigation, we have found that these steps can resolve this issue:
- Windows update is applied
- Under C Drive there is a file generated called "Program" with 0 KB
Rename this file to "Program1," then start the RabbitMQ services
After an update and restart it does prompt when you open file explorer:
From here if the user Ignores this message, then they need to rename the file manually.
If they click rename, then this issue can be resolved by itself.
Please be aware of this as it does apply whether or not you update Windows manually.
