Parallel vs. Series - Pros & Cons

Parallel	Series
Pro: Data is always current if system goes offline	Pro: Lower overhead (fewer Replication Queues on RIL & POA)
Con: More queues = more overhead (POA/RIL)	Con: Store POA offline. The child system won't stay current.
Con: Sales updates shared take time to replicate up and down.	Con: Second hop required to get data updates to the child system and back to the POA

Parallel Better if:	Series Better if:
Stable Internet connection AND	Slow/unreliable Internet connection AND/OR
HQ POA system can handle the increased # of connections	HQ POA system is under powered
