Discard Transaction

When a user cancels a transaction, the user has the option of placing the transaction on hold or discarding the transaction.

Best practices call for requiring reasons for discarded POS transactions. Select a reason and click OK. (Reasons are defined in Admin Console > Node Preferences > System > Reasons and Notes)

When a user discards a transaction, the transaction remains in the database; the transaction is NOT deleted from the database. There is no "aging" policy in which discarded transaction are automatically deleted from the database and there is no way to permanently delete a discarded transaction from the Prism UI.
You can view discarded transactions in Pending Transaction Lookup. Select "Discard" in the Status drop-down and click Search.
